Keys to Caregiving Program
Keys to Caregiving is a research based program that increases parent's knowledge of the infant's amazing capabilities and builds competence and confidence in their caregiving. This informative, award winning video series will help you in understanding the tremendous abilities and behaviors of infants and in effectively sharing this information with parents. The parent handouts reinforce new knowledge gained about infants, how to settle a baby, how to interpret their non-verbal cues and the importance of the feeding interaction.
Keys to Caregiving is used by public health nurses, hospital nurses, educators, social workers, infant mental health consultants, infant caregivers and others. Learning the Keys to Caregiving content occurs best in a group setting but can be accomplished by viewing the videos and using the study guide on your own. The program is divided into six classes. Each class has background reading, video examples, and practice sessions to enhance your understanding and reinforce your learning.
